Weather. The Temperature highs will be around 40 all weekend and the temperature lows will be around 30 Friday & Sunday, rising to the mid 30's on Saturday. Precipitation. Several inches of snow / rain are in the forecast beginning Sunday and into Monday. Winds will be about 6 mph on Friday & Saturday, rising to 15 mph Sunday & Monday. Wednesdays thru Sundays, November 20, 2019 - January 1, 2020, generally from 5 pm - 10.30 pm, there's a Winter Lanterns event. There are 1,000 lanterns artistically sculpted into the Snug Harbor campus. Tickets are $23 / $18 / $15 and add $2 for weekends. Not shown on Mondays & Tuesdays. Location. Snug Harbor Cultural Center at 1000 Richmond Terrace in the Randall Manor neighborhood on the north shore of Staten Island.

 

Saturday - Small Business Saturday, Santa at the SI Mall & Snug Harbor Winter Lanterns

Small Business Saturday is dedicated to the local shops and businesses that are generally run by local owners and employ a large number of local residents.

Sundays, running from November 17 - December 24, 2019, from 10 am - 8 pm with hours are extended after Thanksgiving, there will be a Caring Santa at the Staten Island Mall at 2655 Richmond Avenue in the New Springville neighborhood of Staten Island. They offer Fast Passes to meet with Santa and photos w/ Santa packages that run between $40 & $50. See www.statenislandmall.com for details.

Sunday - Snow Possible, Christmas at the National Lighthouse Museum & Winter Lanterns Fest

Christmas at the National Lighthouse Museum at 200 The Promenade in the St. George neighborhood runs from 12 - 4 pm. There will be a free pass to the museum given for donations to Toy for Tots. There will be arts and crafts projects for kids, Santa will be visiting, and there will be food and beverages.

Week Beginning 12.2.19 - Tree Lighting Near SI Ferry Terminal

On Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 6 - 8 pm, with a caroling pre-show at 5 pm, the first Empire Outlets holiday tree lighting will occur on Staten Island was described as, "... 6pm with a 40-foot crystal tree for an evening of live music, hot chocolate, seasonal bites, in-store shopping deals and holiday revelry ...". There will be special performances by Spotlight Repertory Theatre of Staten Island, a sample of St. George Theatre's Christmas Show, JAGMAC which is a American pop band, and a special visit by Santa Claus. At Empire Outlets which are adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry in the St. George neighborhood of Staten Island.
