St Patrick's Day is on a Sunday this year.
While St. Patrick's Day is one big party, it's important to keep in mind, that like New Years Eve, all the amateurs come out to play [it's not just the Irish who are out drinking on St. Patrick's Day]. So some measure of caution is advised and you have to be careful.

Sunday, March 3, 2024 the 59/60th Annual Staten Island St. Pat's Parade begins between 11.30 am / 12.30 pm [after a church service at Blessed Sacrament in West Brighton]. They begin at Harts Blvd marching along Forest Avenue in the Westerleigh / Elm Park neighborhoods to Jewett Avenue, in the West New Brighton neighborhood of Staten Island. The parade lasts about one to two hours, but the celebrating continues after the parade. Staten Island street fairs / parades in the New Brighton neighborhood of Staten Island. Members of the LGBTQ community continue to be banned from openly marching in the parade. The parade is organized by the Richmond County St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee and not the Ancient Order of Hiberians.
Sunday, March 17, 2024 the 1st Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade from 11 am to 3 pm. It is organized by the Forest Avenue BID in a response to the ongoing boycott of gay marchers by the traditional Staten Island St. Pat's Day parade organizers [see above]. Since the controversy, attendance at the traditional parade fell off significantly, which has hurt the businesses along Forest Avenue and diminished the sense of unity within the community. Description. I'm not 100% sure, but Duffy's might be part of a small chain of Duffy's Taverns that provide a mix of Irish and American fare as well as the traditional Guinness and Jameson's and other like drinks.

Location. At 915 Victory Blvd in the Silver Lake Neighborhood of Staten Island.
Description. They aren't an Irish pub per se, but they are a restaurant on a public golf course that's adjacent to an Irish neighborhood which has a monument commemorating the potters fields aka burial grounds of the Irish in the 19th century [1800's].

Location. At 748 Richmond Terrace, two blocks east of Snug Harbor Cultural Center, in the Randall Manor Neighborhood of Staten Island
Description. Liedy's Shore Inn opened in 1905 and began serving the 'snugs' which were the sailors who lived, worked and passed through Staten Island. It's been a German family run bar, but the current owner reportedly has no kids.

Description. Flanagan's Tavern is an Irish American family run pub. They serve fish n' chips, angus burgers, corned beef and shepherd's pie as well as Guinness and Jameson's at the bar. Although Flanagan's is owned by folks with the name Erickson, it was named after one of the owner's mother, Margaret Flanagan. OLD. On Saturday, March 16, 2019 beginning at 6.30 pm, there's a Dine n' Dance. For those with reservations for the prix fixe dinner [$34 per person] they start seating at 6.30 pm, and for those dancing the music begins at 8 pm ]$20 cover includes two drinks]. FYI - the Historic Old Bermuda Inn has a second address at 2512 Arthur Kill Road [I'm including it because I'm not yet sure what the distinction is]. Location. At 200 Huguenot Avenue at the South Shore Golf Course in the Rossville neighborhood of Staten Island.
Description. On Sunday, March 17, 2019, beginning at 7 pm there's a St Patrick's Day party at Grand Oaks Country Club in Rossville on Staten Island. The Grand Oaks St Pat's Day party includes a four course dinner, green beer and a cash bar. Tickets and must rsvp for $59 per person. Staten Island Years parties in the Rossville neighborhood.

Killmeyer's - St Pat's Day in Charleston on Staten Island
Location. At 4254 Arthur Kill Road in the Charleston neighborhood of Staten Island.
Description. It's not an Irish bar, but rather a German / Bavarian one. Said to be one of the oldest bars on Staten Island, reportedly opening in 1859. There's a mahogany bar that is said to have been made in 1890. Eventually expanded to include a hotel and only changed hands out of the Killmeyer family at the end of WWII in 1945. They offer a variety of beers and German / American fare.
