Summer is in full swing. A number of community groups in collaboration with the NYC Parks Department and frequently some measure of government funding, have put together a summer full of free summer movies in the parks. The free movie events listed below are designed for young and old alike and they're FREE.

This event is an outdoor art exhibit that includes a DJ, food, games and prizes and other community activities. It's intended to help local artists raise a bit of money by selling their works.FREE. CoVid guidelines in effect.

Summer Things To Do on Staten Island NYC

Location. At 441 Clarke Avenue in Historic Richmond Town in the north / east of the central area of Staten Island.

They are a mid 19th century historic town nestled near the hills of Staten Island. While there's no theater, per se, they do host the Uncorked Food Festival in early June and their biggest event of the year is the Historic Richmond Town County Far in very early September.

• Saturday, June 4, 2022 - Historic Richmond Town Uncorked Festival. For a taste of ye olde Staten Island as well as the new.
• Location. Most of the Town celebrates the festival. The General Store, Eggers Ice Cream Parlor and the Guyon Tavern are your best bets as the centers of activity.

Historic Richmond Town Country Fair on Staten Island 2022

• Saturday, Sunday & Monday, September 3, 4 & 5, 2022 from 12 noon - 6 pm - Richmond County Fair. Historic Richmond Town describes this event as follows, "... Staten Island's annual community celebration and Historic Richmond Town's biggest fundraiser. For 41 years, Historic Richmond Town has hosted the Richmond County Fair, and we are honored to welcome everyone to enjoy the best of Staten Island. Also, it is our most important fundraiser of the year, and your ticket to the Richmond County Fair directly supports Historic Richmond Town in its mission to preserve and share our local history...". This is Historic Richmond Town's Annual Fundraiser and Biggest Event of the Year on Staten Island.

* None _ William H. Pouch Boy Scout Camp near Staten Island College and the SI Mall

Summer Drive-In Movies at the William H. Pouch Boy Scout Camp in Central Staten Island

Location. The William H. Pouch Boy Scout Camp is located at 1285 Manor Road which is about a mile due east of the College of Staten Island and adjacent to the Manor Heights, Todt Hill, Egbertville and Heartland Village neighborhoods.

• In 2020 the SI Borough President collaborated with the camp to offer drive-in movies. They opened the parking lot at 7.30 pm and the films began at 9 pm. The cost was $40 per car which included four snacks and four drinks.
